Introducing Vocabulary based on Dr. Robert Marzano's Six Steps

 

1. The teacher will describe the word in language the student understands

 

2. The learner will explain the term in his own words

 

3. The learner will connect the new term with an image

 

4. The learner will participate in activities that provide more knowledge of the words.

 

5. The learner will interact with other learners using the words.

 

6. The learner will participate in games that provide more reinforcement of the new term.

Stef- I think you did a lot of great work here. All the links for the documents worked for me. The link back to the page needs to be put in on one of them. You have all of the Marzano steps. I am still a little confused by all the steps, but I think your activities line up with what I understand. The page is easy to use. I do not know, but I wonder if there is a way to have all of the documents listed on the side in case you did not want to click through them all? Just a thought, it does look great!
