A literature rich book that makes a great addition for a students working in Social Studies & History.
In the early 1900's when silver mining was at an ultimate high in Calico, California. Miners flooded into the mining towns to reap the benefits of the industrial boom. While there, the miners needed to stay in contact with the world around them. How did they do this? Calico Dorsey illuminates as a young Border Collie that treks the rough terrain between the towns of Calico and Yermo, with a leather sack attached to his back delivering the miners mail. Calico Dorsey is a vivid read that captivates the readers attention through out the numerous events a working mail dog may endure between two mining towns.

Hi Becky, your wiki is off to a great start! There are a few areas that could use some improvement. A statement of purpose for the wiki and using technology in the classroom Siri mentioned can be added to the main page as well as a link back to marzano's 6 steps. Are there some pictures of the front cover of your book to illustrate your front page or vocabulary page? The definitons seem kid friendly and your quizlet is a great activity for students. Let me know if I can help and look forward to seeing the final wiki!
